REZUMAT 

Funcţiile aparatului dento-maxilar (masticaţia, deglutiţia, vorbirea, fonaţia, respiraţia şi mimica) sunt asigurate prin mişcările automate, ritmice ale mandibulei, muşchilor feţei, a buzelor şi a limbii. Tulburările funcţionale pot determina anomalii dento-maxilare sau pot contribui la agravarea unei anomalii dento-maxilare de etiologie diferită.
