AVANTAJELE UTILIZARII ANTIBIOTICELOR PE CALE SISTEMICA IN TRATAMENTUL NON-CHIRURGICAL AL PARODONTOPATIILOR

REZUMAT 

În evoluţia bolii parodontale, un rol important îl are tratamentul non-chirurgical. Asocierea antibioticelor pe cale sistemică alături de instrumentarea mecanică a constituit subiectul multor studii. Antibioticul administrat pe cale sistemică poate negocia cu fragmentele biofilmului gingival, apărute în urma dislocării lui prin instrumentare mecanică. Antibioterapia este o metodă adjuvantă a SRP (scaling and root planing), ce previne recolonizarea şi reorganizarea biofilmului. Rezultatele obţinute în urma acestor studii arată scăderea numărului de tulpini ale agenţilor patogeni, ce intervin în etiopatogenia parodontopatiilor, prin testarea PCR (o metodă modernă de polimerizare în lanţ a unei secvenţe de ADN, in vitro), îmbunătăţirea indicilor de sângerare la sondare (BOP), creşterea de ataşament clinic (CAL), scăderea indicelui de sondare a adâncimii (PD). Acest tratament sistemic previne apariţia şi complicaţiile bolilor coronariene, ale diabetului.
