REZUMAT

Joncţiunea smalţ/cement este o zonă importantă a integrării ţesuturilor mineralizate ale dintelui care suportă forţe mari de presiune. Nivelul joncţiunii este relevant în măsurarea profunzimii pungii parodontale şi a
nivelului de ataşament. La nivelul joncţiunii smalţ-cement (JSC) sunt prezente smalţul, dentina şi cementul, care se unesc într-o linie cu traiect neregulat. Vom prezenta, în acest articol, morfologia JSC, modalităţile de identificare, precum şi importanţa identificării joncţiunii în practica clinică.
